Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to respond to you and deliver our services:

• Information you give us. Your name, email address, phone number, company, and anything you write in a contact form or send us directly. If you opt in to text messages, this also includes the consent record described under SMS/Text Messaging Program below.
• Information from working together. Project details, files, and account information you share with us in the course of an engagement.
• Technical information. IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring URLs, collected automatically when you visit the site. Your IP address is additionally stored, on purpose and not just in server logs, when you submit the SMS consent form — see below.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not collect sensitive categories of data such as government identifiers, health information, or payment card numbers through this website.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Respond to your inquiries and provide the services you have asked us about.
• Send messages related to a project, quote, or scheduled call.
• Operate, secure, and improve our website, including preventing spam and abuse.
• Meet our legal, tax, and record-keeping obligations.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

SMS/Text Messaging Program

If you provide your mobile number and consent to receive text messages from ExcellaTek, the following terms apply to that program.

How you opt in, and what we record

There are two ways to join, and you are only enrolled through the one you actually used. We never add a number to the program on our own initiative.

• By phone call. During a call with an ExcellaTek representative you may be asked whether you want text messages. If you agree, we send one confirmation request and you must reply YES to confirm.
• By web form. You may enroll yourself at excellatek.com/sms-consent by entering your name and mobile number and ticking the consent checkbox. The checkbox is never pre-ticked, and submitting without it does not enroll you.

When you opt in through the web form, we record your name, your mobile number, the date and time you consented, and the IP address you submitted from. We keep that record for one reason: it is what demonstrates that consent was actually given, by you, at a specific moment. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is not used for advertising or analytics. Full detail on how long we keep it is in Data Retention below.

Your mobile number is stored in a standardized international format, so the same number entered different ways does not become two separate records.

No sharing of mobile opt-in data. Mobile information and consent obtained as part of our SMS program will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented, or shared for such purposes.

Message frequency. Message frequency varies.

Cost. Message and data rates may apply. These charges come from your mobile carrier, not from ExcellaTek.

Opting out. Reply STOP to any message to opt out of further messages at any time.

Getting help. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at [email protected].

Carrier liability. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

The only service providers who ever touch this data are the messaging platform and carriers strictly necessary to transmit the messages you asked to receive. They may not use it for their own marketing.

Sharing of Information

We share personal information only in these limited circumstances:

• Service providers. Vendors who host our site, deliver our email, or provide security and analytics, acting on our instructions and bound to protect the data.
• Legal requirements. When we are required to by law, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone. As stated above, mobile opt-in information is never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing purposes.

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected, or as long as the law requires.

• Contact form inquiries that do not become projects are retained for up to 24 months.
• Client and project records are retained for the length of the engagement plus the period required for tax, accounting, and legal purposes.
• SMS consent records — from either opt-in path — are retained for as long as you remain opted in, and for a reasonable period afterward to prove that consent was given and honored. Replying STOP ends the messages immediately; the record that you once consented, and then withdrew, is what we keep.

When information is no longer needed, we delete it or render it anonymous.

Your Choices

• Text messages. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for assistance. To opt in, use excellatek.com/sms-consent or tell the representative on your call.
• Email. Use the unsubscribe link in any non-transactional email, or write to us directly.
• Access, correction, and deletion. Request a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it.
• Cookies. Set your browser to refuse cookies. Parts of the site may not work as intended if you do.
